About the position

As a Senior UX Researcher at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our business data products. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and conduct user research that informs product design decisions. This involves analyzing data, generating insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences. Your work will directly impact the development of intuitive and user-friendly products that serve customers in over 150 countries. You will be part of a team that is committed to deploying AI and advanced technologies to improve productivity and transform the practice of law. In this role, you will gather and evaluate customer use cases, maintaining close links with UX Designers to ensure that user feedback and testing are integrated into the design process. You will segment markets and understand the needs of various sub-segments in greater detail, identifying and addressing the right problems through thorough analysis. Working closely with UX Designers, you will help define the structure and layout of products, summarizing data from analytics packages and customer insights to provide context for your research. Additionally, you will identify gaps in data and collaborate with the business to fill them, utilizing research software such as Qualtrics, Lookback, and Usertesting at an expert level.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering, evaluating and understanding customer use cases.
  • Maintaining close links with UX Designers to ensure user feedback and testing are integrated into the design process.
  • Segmenting markets and understanding the needs of those sub-segments in greater detail.
  • Identifying and addressing the right problem through thorough analysis of the brief.
  • Working with UX Designers to define the structure and layout of the product.
  • Summarizing data from analytics packages, customer insights, or other sources to understand the context of research work.
  • Identifying gaps in data and collaborating with the business to fill them.
  • Using research software (Qualtrics, Lookback, Usertesting) at an expert level.

Requirements

  • A range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and advanced analysis skills.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders to decide and plan a user research roadmap and communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to employ a range of methods such as contextual interviews and usability testing to suit the research question, project stage, and timescales.
  • Experience working collaboratively with colleagues in various roles, involving product teams and other stakeholders in the research process.
  • Ability to use analytics data to triangulate research findings.
  • Good experience in user research planning and execution.
