About the position

As a UX/UI Designer at Skims, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the online shopping experience for our diverse customer base. This position involves creating intuitive and visually appealing digital solutions that align with our brand's mission of comfort, style, and versatility. You will collaborate with various teams to understand customer needs and business objectives, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across all digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with UX, product management, engineering, analytics, and digital merchandising teams to understand customer needs and business objectives.
• Design seamless and visually compelling user interfaces for the website and mobile app, ensuring a consistent and on-brand experience across all digital platforms.
• Utilize wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to bring concepts to life, focusing on usability and aesthetic appeal.
• Engage in usability testing, gather user feedback, and iterate designs to enhance user satisfaction.
• Perform UX research, including user interviews, surveys, and analysis of user interaction data, to refine user personas and journey maps.
• Maintain and evolve digital design guidelines to ensure brand consistency.
• Present design concepts to stakeholders, providing insight into the design process and demonstrating alignment with user needs and business goals.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in e-commerce, UX design, and technology to continuously improve digital offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
• At least 4-6 years of experience in UX/UI design for consumer-facing digital products.
• A compelling portfolio that demonstrates expertise in UX/UI design.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of user-centered design and responsive design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing and prototyping animations for web and mobile apps: 2D and 3D.
• Experience in creating designs that cater to a diverse audience, with an understanding of inclusivity within the fashion industry.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
