About the position

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing at Mediavine is a key executive role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive company growth. This position involves leading a team of marketing professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and establishing strategic partnerships to contribute to revenue growth. The SVP will innovate marketing approaches, amplify Mediavine's voice in the industry, and ensure alignment with the company's long-term goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Mediavine's vision for growth.
  • Lead targeted marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate successful marketing strategies and enhance customer experience.
  • Lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Maintain and evolve the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels.
  • Drive marketing initiatives across various channels to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Lead media relations efforts and manage relationships with press and industry partners.
  • Develop integrated marketing and communication strategies for target audiences.
  • Develop and execute an events strategy to engage target audiences and drive leads.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and features.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget and ensure optimal allocation of resources.
  • Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide actionable insights.
  • Contribute to Mediavine's position as a thought leader through strategic content creation and speaking engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant and progressive experience in Marketing, Sales, Partnerships or related GTM roles.
  • 10+ years of experience in Technology, Media, Advertising Services or Ad Technology preferred.
  • 5+ years of successful experience in VP or higher level role.
  • Proven success in leading high-performing marketing teams (5+ members) in dynamic environments.
  • Strong understanding of the digital media landscape and online marketing best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple marketing initiatives and set measurable performance targets.
  • Hands-on experience in developing messaging and positioning strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience as an in-person and virtual speaker for industry events.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.
