About the position

The Senior Video Motion Artist/Finish Editor plays a crucial role in the Marketing and Communications department at BJC HealthCare, focusing on creating engaging digital media and videos for various audiences. This position involves collaboration with a creative team to produce high-quality video content that supports the organization's business and marketing objectives. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in video production and strong project management skills, ensuring that all video projects are completed on time and meet the required standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops, directs, and produces video content for the company and its brands in multiple formats including online web clips, corporate videos, webcasts, product videos, and live events.
• Handles pre-production, production, and post-production of videos, including writing content, producing, budgeting, managing legal rights, and project management.
• Directs video crews and supervises editing processes, ensuring high-quality output.
• Collaborates closely with creative teams, directors, and stakeholders to develop compelling video concepts aligned with project goals and objectives.
• Coordinates and schedules production logistics, including location scouting, casting, crew hiring, equipment procurement, and production timelines.
• Ensures adherence to production timelines and milestones, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to mitigate risks.
• Mentors junior production staff, providing guidance and support throughout the pre-production and operational phases.
• Stays current with industry trends and technological advancements in video production to enhance processes and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in video production and editing.
• Advanced knowledge in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
• Proficient in Davinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, and knowledge of Blender or Cinema 4D and Mocha Pro.
• Advanced understanding of color science/color conversion, post-production process, and workflow.
• Strong knowledge of finishing work such as VFX and color grading.
• Knowledge of contemporary cinema cameras such as RED, Canon, and Sony cameras.
• Knowledge of Digital Asset Management and proxy workflow.
