About the position

The Senior Visual Designer at Culligan Brand Studio is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the brand's visual identity and experience. This position involves leading design initiatives across various platforms, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and driving a culture of creativity and excellence. The designer will oversee strategic packaging projects and ensure the brand's expression is consistent and impactful, while also staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the purpose, strategy, and expression of the Culligan brand.
  • Collaborate and manage design projects through expertise and knowledge.
  • Differentiate between good and bad design, ensuring high standards.
  • Generate innovative ideas while maintaining established design standards.
  • Accountable for project success measured by business outcomes.
  • Serve as a thought leader within and outside of Culligan.
  • Develop strategies and set priorities for design initiatives.
  • Navigate organizational complexities effectively.
  • Exceed previous brand experience standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in brand design and marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in art/creative direction and leadership.
  • Extensive experience leading design, production, and agency partner teams.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary teams including Developers, Product Managers, and Design Researchers.
  • Proficient in visual design, identity, storytelling, and branding.
  • Experience with social and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in video and sound creation and editing.
  • Experience leading video/photo shoots for products and events.
  • Experience collaborating with copywriters.
  • Proficient in 2D Animation applications such as After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other design tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience applying and extending design systems.
  • Experience conducting and analyzing usability tests.
  • Experience designing interactive digital UI experiences.
  • Experience creating and editing online educational videos.
  • Experience with 3D animation applications such as CGI or Cinema 4D.
