About the position

The Sr. Voice/Network Engineer position is a long-term role based in Austin, TX, focused on providing advanced engineering and operational support for Contact Centre Voice solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of voice technologies, particularly in VoIP and SIP, and involves taking ownership of incident resolution and system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 operational support for the end-to-end Contact Centre Voice solution.
• Take ownership of mitigation, resolution, and follow-up for impactful P1/P0 incidents and lower priority recurring issues.
• Identify system and process improvements related to the Contact Centre Voice Platform and recommend new solutions and designs.
• Develop voice solutions and support, including call flow diagrams and design documentation.
• Perform in-depth analysis of call flows to determine issues and resolutions.

Requirements

• 10 years of work experience in Voice Engineering and telephony.
• Deep understanding and experience with Ribbon/Sonus SBC.
• Expertise in Voice/VoIP/SIP technologies.
• Proficient in developing voice solutions and design documentation.
• Knowledge of SIP media gateways and Session Border Controllers (Cisco, Acme, SONRibbon, etc.).
• Expertise in network protocols and fundamentals.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Extensive experience with Unix/Linux OS system administration, configuration, performance tuning, maintenance, and security.
• Scripting/Automation skills including Python/Bash.
• Knowledge of Oracle and Cassandra Database.
