Under minimal supervision, the Senior Web Content Designer develops, designs and executes comprehensive content and communications to support the company's website(s). Guides the creation and maintenance of content including graphics for discounttire.com and affiliated sites. Embodies IOOGA (Integrity, Our People, Our Customers, Growth and Attitude).

Responsibilities

  • Designs, writes, edits and proofreads, gathers and researches content for use on web sites; including but not limited to, call-to-action statements, headlines, page titles, graphics, photos and meta descriptions.
  • Maintains promotion content and promotion schedule; communicates schedule and content to stakeholders; recommends content and implementation schedule.
  • Administers product display rules for web sites; collaborates with Product Marketing and Development (PM&D) to determine display schedule; recommends administrative rules.
  • Ensures tire / wheel and fitment issues are addressed.
  • Ensures consistent look and feel for web sites.
  • Administers Store and Regional web sites assignments.
  • Solicits ideas, information and material from corporate and regional stakeholders in order to develop communications materials and strategies to reach targeted audiences.
  • Ensures consistent messaging of content and graphics.
  • Delivers high quality work, effectively and efficiently, through formal and informal channels; displays broad understanding of company products and culture.
  • Ensures web sites are maintained, including but not limited to, updating copy, pictures, announcements, events and lists.
  • Develops strategies to increase engagement and interaction.
  • Ensures web site enhancements are audited for quality assurance and user experience.
  • Coaches, trains and mentors Web Content Designer I & II.
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies.
  • Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to web site content processes, procedures and services.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years progressive web content development experience; preferably in a large multi-site organization.
  • Exceptional and adaptable writing skills with the ability to write professionally, creatively and create useful, relevant and engaging content and graphics.
  • Key skills: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
  • Exceptional proofing and editing skills with knowledge of grammar and punctuation.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization; present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work successfully within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to motivate self and others while managing multiple projects and meeting various deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, including skills with Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of simple HTML is required.
  • Troubleshooting and organizational skills with a Can-Do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements.
