About the position

The Sr. World Wide Specialist Solutions Architect for SAP on AWS is a key role within the AWS sales organization, focusing on addressing complex customer challenges through expert-level technical knowledge and innovative solutions. This position involves crafting scalable and resilient architectures, guiding customers in application refactoring, and designing new cloud-based systems. The role emphasizes collaboration with various teams to influence product development and enhance customer experiences, while also promoting AWS's capabilities at industry events.

Responsibilities

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to domain-aligned GTM teams to unblock customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events.
• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best-in-class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.

Requirements

• 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 5+ years management of technical, customer-facing resources
• 5+ years experience in SAP business processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay) and integrations with related third-party software.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of SAP systems (SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Central Finance, etc.) and their architecture and integration patterns
• History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
• Computer Science/relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
• Experience with ABAP programming and integration of middleware products with SAP
• Experience building SAP BTP applications with Fiori, Cloud Application Programming (CAP), Kyma (Kubernetes), or Cloud Foundry.
