About the position

The Business Development Specialist role within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) at AWS focuses on driving the adoption of SAP on AWS in the Healthcare & Lifesciences sector. This position involves leading the global go-to-market (GTM) strategy, collaborating with various teams to address customer needs, and leveraging deep industry knowledge to create innovative solutions. The specialist will work closely with AWS and SAP teams to enhance customer engagement and support the development of new services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain.
  • Leverage your deep domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategy.
  • Support field teams in solution building for high priority customers.
  • Bring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
  • Own reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of SAP business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management experience.
  • 10+ years working with customers in helping them with technology decisions, preferably in cloud, hosted and managed services in technology industry.
  • 7+ years' experience in Healthcare and Lifesciences industries.
  • Recent experience in working with cloud-native and containerized workloads.
  • Knowledge of business processes enabled by SAP and/or other applications and experience in implementing solutions or selling solutions with ERP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with AWS services and how they can be used to modernize SAP.
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
