About the position

The SRDP Mechanical/Industrial Engineer position is part of the Sugar Rotational Development Program at Florida Crystals, designed to provide new employees with a variety of learning experiences in the sugar industry. This role offers exposure to practical knowledge and skill development under the guidance of experienced professionals, contributing to the growth of the employee within a leading sugar production company.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Sugar Rotational Development Program to gain diverse experiences in the sugar industry.
• Analyze operational needs and proactively address issues and problems.
• Track and report data as needed to support operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management, both verbally and in writing.
• Utilize Microsoft Office suite and control systems, with a preference for SAP knowledge.
• Demonstrate high energy and persistence in overcoming business challenges.
• Maintain a high degree of personal integrity and ethical standards in all work activities.
• Frame clear problem statements and utilize data to solve complex business challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver outstanding results.

Requirements

• Legally eligible for employment in the United States without sponsorship.
• Above average GPA from an accredited college/university.
• Good driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol test.
• Ability to physically work in an industrial/farming environment.
• Associate Degree (or higher) in Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Sugar Industry or Manufacturing is preferable.
• Understanding of Safety and Quality standards.
