About the position

The SRDP Mechanical/Industrial Engineer position is part of the Sugar Rotational Development Program at Florida Crystals, designed to provide new employees with diverse learning experiences in the sugar industry. This role offers exposure to various operational aspects, allowing for skill development and practical knowledge in a growth-oriented environment. The program is supported by experienced management and aims to cultivate future leaders in the sugar production sector.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various learning experiences within the sugar industry.
• Analyze operational needs and proactively address issues.
• Track and report data as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a diverse environment.

Requirements

• Associate Degree (or higher) in Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Experience working in the Sugar Industry or Manufacturing is preferable.
• Clear understanding of Safety and Quality standards.
• Ability to work physically in an industrial/farming environment.
• Legally eligible for employment in the United States without sponsorship.
• Above average GPA and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with control systems and SAP.
