About the position

The SRE Engineer role focuses on leveraging software engineering skills to solve operational problems, particularly in the areas of Linux systems, networking, monitoring, databases, and cloud technologies. The position involves automating tasks, implementing self-healing mechanisms, and participating in on-call schedules to ensure system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Linux systems, networking, monitoring, databases, and cloud technologies.
• Write code to automate API-driven tasks at scale, preferably in Python.
• Architect and implement automations to auto-remediate and self-heal issues in production.
• Participate in SRE software engineering to reduce human intervention in operational tasks.
• Monitor the application ecosystem and resolve issues promptly.
• Scale systems sustainably through automation and advocate for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Participate in 24x365 on-call schedules and resolve issues within 30 minutes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• Expert hands-on experience with provisioning and deploying infrastructures in Azure Public Cloud in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Expert hands-on experience using Azure DevOps stack to build automated CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with chaos engineering.
• Familiarity with Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, Terraform, and ELK stack.
• Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana.
