About the position
The SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) role at Insight Global focuses on innovating and delivering solutions that support Disney Studios' engineering teams. The role involves defining, creating, and building high-quality systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new technologies and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Define, create, architect and build high-quality systems
- Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams
- Identify & evangelize new technologies, patterns, solutions, and best practices
- Contribute new ideas to a larger community of high-caliber engineers
- Self healing infrastructure-as-code, and automate everything
- Embed security in all processes and systems
Requirements
- Strong knowledge in system management languages (e.g. Chef, Terraform, Ansible)
- Proficiency in multiple scripting languages (e.g. Python, GO, PERL, or Swift)
- Experience with emerging containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Skilled in Cloud/PaaS Environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Compute)
- Thorough knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo)
- UNIX/Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, & security expertise
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- BS in Computer Science or related field
