About the position

The SRE Manager at Omnissa is responsible for leading a team of site reliability engineers to support production solutions and address business priorities. This role involves promoting a culture of engineering excellence, managing technical challenges across security, network, and high availability, and driving the design and implementation of automation and deployment processes. The position requires a blend of strategic leadership and tactical involvement in day-to-day operations, ensuring the team meets service level objectives and contributes to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, retain, develop and manage a team of site reliability engineers.
  • Promote a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
  • Understand the challenges and limitations of existing systems and contribute to roadmap and design discussions.
  • Manage application and infrastructure systems through DevOps concepts and code.
  • Propose, define, and drive assigned projects to completion, adjusting deadlines as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other service leads and engineering managers to design and develop deployment automation procedures.
  • Drive projects to develop tools and code to automate manual steps in the pipeline and optimize existing steps.
  • Define and meet team SLOs around automation and deployment initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in technical leadership.
  • 5+ years working with customer-facing SaaS Services.
  • 5+ years working with AWS (or similar) infrastructure at global scale.
  • Strong development background in Python, Ruby, or a similar language.
  • Experience maintaining infrastructure as code and/or configuration management solutions (e.g., Terraform/Ansible/Chef).
  • Experience managing teams and driving the design, implementation, and delivery of software solutions.
  • Proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and geographies.
