About the position

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of systems through automation and monitoring. The position requires extensive experience with Linux systems, container orchestration, and cloud platforms, particularly AWS. The SRE will be responsible for creating automation scripts, managing incidents, and improving operational tasks to enhance system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience working with Linux flavors like RHEL/CentOS OS, shells, filesystems, and utilities.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and experience with container orchestration frameworks, including on-prem and Rancher Kubernetes, along with good knowledge of Kubernetes objects.
• Experience working with Storage, preferably ONTAP, including volume management, aggregates, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Creating and supporting automation scripts (shell/Ansible/Python) for infrastructure deployments, validations, and monitoring to improve operational tasks.
• Scheduling monitoring scripts using cron and Airflow.
• Utilizing monitoring tools including Dynatrace, Apica, and Grafana.
• Database knowledge including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Building CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
• Handling incidents and managing problems.

Requirements

• 8 - 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL and CentOS.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and container orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with storage solutions, preferably ONTAP.
• Ability to create automation scripts for infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Cloud platform knowledge, specifically AWS.
