About the position

The Special Projects Area Lead at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions is responsible for mentoring and developing a sales team, overseeing financial health, and fostering a productive team culture. This role involves setting clear goals, monitoring performance metrics, and driving strategic initiatives to support the overall objectives of the SSP and associated business units. The Area Lead will build relationships with key stakeholders and ensure project success through effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop the sales team to enhance their performance and project management skills.
  • Oversee the financial health and cultural environment of the zone, ensuring positive outcomes.
  • Set short- and long-term goals for the team and provide guidance to achieve them.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project success and compile regular reporting for senior management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, clients, and internal departments.
  • Oversee budget management, ensuring financial viability and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

  • A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical degree, or a minimum of three years' sales experience.
  • A track record of delivering first-class customer service with a business-owner mindset.
  • Expertise in providing solutions to clients based on knowledge and experience.
  • Experience building and mentoring strong sales teams.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies to identify, pursue, and capture new business.
