The Stadium Event Manager at ABM Industries is responsible for overseeing the management of events at stadiums, ensuring that all services are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting contract provisions. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager to develop work plans and maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and to promote customer retention. The Stadium Event Manager will handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and report on the status of work, identifying potential issues and recommending appropriate actions. This position requires excellent customer service skills to enhance service delivery and increase billable services provided by ABM. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for reporting accidents and property damage accurately and promptly. In terms of employee relations, the Stadium Event Manager will work closely with frontline personnel to meet customer requirements, determine training needs, and recommend staffing levels. This includes collaborating with HR to hire, train, and evaluate staff while understanding applicable union contracts to develop effective working relationships with local labor unions. The manager will enforce ABM and client policies and procedures through mentoring and coaching of field personnel, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the company's standards and practices. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for serving others, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate problems and implement preventative action plans. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require responding to urgent client requests during evenings and weekends. The Stadium Event Manager will also need to be technically savvy, proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related applications, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
