About the position

The Stadium Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a premier sports and entertainment venue. This role includes managing staff, ensuring event preparation and execution, maintaining customer satisfaction, and coordinating various operational tasks such as vendor management and safety auditing. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup, conversion, and changeover of the venue for various events including NFL, MLS, NCAA, concerts, and corporate events.
  • Inspect areas post-setup to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with banquet orders and production notes.
  • Schedule staff and contracted labor to meet operational needs on a daily, weekly, and event basis.
  • Coordinate snow removal and manage external vendors and subcontractors.
  • Review operational needs and recommend repairs, maintenance, or special projects to the client.
  • Coordinate upkeep of all Stadium Operations assets such as tables, chairs, and carts.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Provide training on furniture handling, event setups/breakdowns, and equipment use.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, addressing complaints and operational considerations.
  • Attend regular client meetings and hold weekly staff meetings to follow up on action items.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs and maintain required reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 - 7 years of management experience in a large stadium or convention center setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage and develop subordinates effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with computer-based work order systems.
  • Strong customer focus and self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/CAD drawings.
