Additionally, the Stadium Operations Manager will ensure second to none event preparation & execution, customer service, departmental leadership, vendor management, snow removal, safety auditing, asset inventory management, as well as other objectives assigned by UG2 or client. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the setup, conversion, and changeover of the venue from event to event including but not limited, NFL Football, MLS Soccer, NCAA Events, Concerts, Corporate events, etc. Inspect areas after they have been setup/converted to ensure the internal/external customer is satisfied and all items in the banquet order and or production notes have been addressed. Schedule staff and contracted labor to ensure necessary support needs are met on a daily, weekly, and per event basis. Coordinate and oversee snow removal throughout the stadium including management of external vendors and subcontractors. Review Stadium Operations needs and recommend repairs, maintenance, or special projects to the client. Coordinate the upkeep of all Stadium Operations assets to include tables, chairs, mats, carts, etc. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure highest possible standards are achieved and sustained. Provide training in proper techniques and procedures for furniture handling, event setups/breakdowns, and use of equipment. Maintain a positive open line of communication with the client, including handling client complaints and operational considerations. Attends regular client meetings, as required. Holds weekly staff meetings and follows up on all action items. Attend required training classes and programs, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with all safety programs, including OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. Maintains all State and Federal required reports and safety documentation. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience. 5 - 7 years' management experience, preferably in a large stadium or convention center setting. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be highly organized. Ability to manage, monitor, and develop subordinates to ensure the smooth operation of the venue. Ability to read and interpret blueprints/CAD drawings and venue plans. Proficient with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity and experience with computer-based work order systems. Strong customer focus. Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision. Be able to work effectively with other departments receiving and communicating instructions. Able to set priorities under pressure of deadlines. Familiarity working with and overseeing unionized employees. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend and be able to lift 40 pounds. Must be able to climb a ladder. Must have full range of motion and dexterity. Must have a flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Must be able to respond to the venue 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to handle emergencies. Comfortable working through extreme temperature changes outdoors in inclement weather, including exposure to bright lights, loud noise, and dust.
