About the position

The Staff Accountant position at KIOXIA America, Inc. is responsible for supporting the accounting department through balance sheet reconciliation, financial reporting, and system implementation. This role involves performing end-of-month closing activities, enhancing accounting procedures, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. The position reports to the Accounting Manager and plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-of-month closing and post-closing activities such as preparing general ledger entries.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and compile data for journal entries.
• Support the Accounting Manager in enhancing existing accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Seek opportunities to improve accounting operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies and recommend policy changes as necessary.
• Support quarterly and annual internal and external audit requests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, specializing in general ledger.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proven ability to prioritize workloads with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented and organized with high levels of accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and knowledge of Oracle system.
