About the position

We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant/Accounting Clerk to manage financial records and customer accounts in Huntington Beach, California. This short-term contract role involves processing accounts payable, reconciling bank statements, and utilizing NetSuite for various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks and operations
• Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed
• Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and transactions
• Review and process customer credit applications efficiently
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or Accounting Clerk
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Demonstrated ability in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Experience working with accounting software, preferably NetSuite
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Good knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
