Responsibilities

• Ensure proper recording and coding of marketing costs.
• Assist with the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL review for coding accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for manager review and approval.
• Analyze performance compared to budget and provide ad hoc reporting to budget owners.
• Create purchase orders and process marketing invoices.
• Assist the period-end close process by ensuring accurate and timely completion of corporate accounting entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare reporting for marketing budget owners.
• Recommend and lead improvements to current processes.
• Maintain a great working relationship within the corporate finance team and with other departments.
• Support ad hoc financial information requests, analyses, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 1-3 years of related work experience in Accounting or Finance (public or private) is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Solid values and high standards of ethics, integrity, and trust.
• Ability to meet deadlines and take initiative.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in general accounting, journal entries, variance analysis, and ERP systems.
