About the position
The Staff Accountant at PSI will be responsible for maintaining and managing financial records, analyzing financial data trends, and ensuring accuracy and compliance within the accounting team. This role is essential for supporting the company's growth and involves preparing financial statements, assisting with closing processes, and integrating acquired entities into the financial system.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including forecasts and variance analysis.
- Manage the integration of acquired entities into the company's financials, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Perform data entry tasks efficiently, contributing to the transition to a new financial software system, including data migration and system testing.
- Assist with additional accounting team department projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance/Accounting.
- Minimum of one year of experience in accounting.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Expert in Excel, including creating Pivot Tables and Look-up Tables.
- Ability to function as a team player.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Netsuite is a plus.
