About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant for a full-time position operating during normal business hours. This role is eligible for our hybrid working model, which includes three days per week in the office and the remaining time working remotely. During the initial training and transition period, additional in-office days may be required. The position is based at our corporate headquarters, home to our executive management team and corporate, general, and administrative support staff. The Staff Accountant will also collaborate closely with finance and accounting personnel across our geographically and operationally diverse subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger closing process by preparing reconciliations of general ledger accounts of the corporate office.
  • Assist in the corporate treasury function by establishing ACH and wire transfers and reconciling bank account activity to the general ledger.
  • Prepare cash reporting, P&L variance analysis and other ad-hoc reporting for management review.
  • Assist in the management of intercompany accounting and reconciliation process and develop relationships and facilitate communications with subsidiary accounting departments.
  • Effectively respond to requests from internal and external auditors in connection with the Company's financial and internal control audits so that the Company remains in compliance with its Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Manage portions of the accounts payable and purchase order processes.
  • Assist in the monthly consolidated financial statement process for internal reporting as well as quarterly and annual external reporting.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • Proficient use of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Problem-solving ability and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be viewed as a strong team player, a person who generates ideas to solve problems and has a high 'customer service' approach to their work.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for communication to all levels of management.
  • Experience with NetSuite and financial audits is a plus.
  • One to two years of experience in similar accounting roles.
