About the position
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing various accounting tasks and supporting the company in financial analysis and forecasting. This position involves collaboration with the Director and the analytics team to enhance reporting and budgeting processes, ensuring accurate financial management and strategic insights for the business.
Responsibilities
- Perform weekly invoicing
- Produce pay applications for contract jobs
- Work with Director to analyze and produce 13-week cash forecast process
- Build reporting and dashboard to help drive proactive information in the business
- Perform account analysis and reporting as needed
- Be an integral part of the budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist Director in the month end close process
- Perform month end entries and posting into accounting system
- Perform month end reconciliations
- Assist Director in annual financial review
- Work alongside analytics team to build and create reporting and modeling
- Provide ad hoc analysis as needed
- Assist and support process and system improvement efforts
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Construction accounting knowledge
- Financial analysis experience with Business Intelligence tools
- Communication with operations team
