About the position

The Staff Accountant position at an established real estate construction company in Moore, Oklahoma, involves providing management with essential financial information through various accounting duties. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process accounts payable invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Regularly reconcile bank accounts as well as other balance sheet accounts, rectifying any discrepancies.
• Prepare construction loan draws and manage requests as needed.
• Record new property acquisitions and property sales with high accuracy.
• Compile and record month-end journal entries, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date.
• Assist with the preparation of annual audits, helping streamline the auditing process.
• Prepare routine financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely data representation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a relevant field
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Demonstrable understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to take initiative
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
