About the position
The position involves supporting the Accounting Manager and being a key member of the Accounting team at Sanity.io, a fast-paced startup. The role requires a strong operational and general accounting background, with responsibilities including day-to-day accounting operations, accounts receivable and payable management, and participation in audits and ad-hoc projects. The individual must thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively communicate across various levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Prepare invoices for accounts receivable and resolve customer inquiries
- Enter, code, and process invoices for accounts payable
- Manage vendor relationships and payment issues
- Review and process internal expense reports
- Conduct month-end close activities
- Perform weekly/monthly bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations
- Execute various account reconciliations as needed
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Implement and maintain relevant accounting software
- Support additional accounting projects as they arise
Requirements
- BS/BA Degree in finance or accounting or relevant fields
- 0-1 years of related accounting experience in a high-growth/fast-paced startup
- Experience with Netsuite and Airbase or similar payment tools preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a remote/hybrid culture
- Structured, organized, and detail-oriented
- Hard-working and willing to perform various tasks
- Curiosity and willingness to ask questions
