About the position
The Staff Accountant position at Robert Half offers a long-term contract opportunity focused on processing and maintaining client statements and financial records. This role is primarily remote, with one day required on-site, and involves working within a dynamic accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Execute accurate journal entries as part of the financial record-keeping process.
- Prepare client statements, including bills and product distribution details.
- Conduct year-end financial procedures and reconciliations.
- Handle wire transfers to facilitate financial transactions.
- Oversee the billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize Oracle and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks, though expertise in Oracle is not mandatory.
- Apply VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables in Excel to manage and analyze data.
- Forecast costs to aid in financial planning and decision making.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ensure reliability in all accounting tasks and responsibilities.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, along with general ledger entries and month-end close activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management
- Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
- Proficiency in maintaining and updating General Ledger
- Experience in preparing and recording Journal Entries
- Demonstrated abilities in Month End Close procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Oracle financial software.
