Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Lake Worth, Florida. The role is primarily involved in the real estate industry and will be based out of our office. You will be tasked with a variety of accounting functions and general office responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist with phone communications and coordinate appointments
• Maintain databases with attention to accuracy and detail
• Support operations and collaborate with property managers and vendors
• Process journal entries and perform bank reconciliations
• Work on month-end close processes
• Provide assistance in real estate related activities such as closings and leasing
• Use Yardi software for property management accounting
• Interact with other team members and ensure smooth functioning of the office
• Play a crucial role in maintaining the general ledger. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management
• Proficiency in Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures
• Demonstrated expertise in using Yardi software
• Experience in Property Management Accounting
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Exceptional organizational abilities and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
