About the position

The Staff Accountant position at Robert Half is a contract role designed to cover maternity leave, starting immediately and lasting until the beginning of the year. The role involves various accounting responsibilities, including payroll processing, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and managing accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will utilize financial software to ensure accurate financial management and maintain customer records.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Dynamics 365 and ADP for the processing and tracking of payroll entries
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in accounting records
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely results
  • Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient financial management
  • Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications and take appropriate action when needed
  • Ensure all financial records and customer accounts are updated and accurate
  • Resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proven ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of General Ledger management
  • Experience with Journal Entries
  • Proficiency in Month End Close procedures
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
