About the position
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the IT Software industry, based in Denver, Colorado. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with supporting our financial operations, which include account reconciliation, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and maintain financial records such as general ledger, payroll, budget, and expense
- Contribute to the creation of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash-flow statements
- Ensure account balances are accurate through regular reconciliation
- Prepare and submit reports on forecasting and budgeting
- Analyze financial data and compile reports to aid in management decision making
- Collaborate with the auditing team for the preparation of annual audits
- Adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements and uphold detail-oriented standards
- Assist in the execution and planning of accounting strategies
- Use accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform tasks
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, including bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and month-end close procedures.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices
- Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
- Strong understanding of General Ledger management
- Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries
- Experience in Month End Close processes
- Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
- Experience with Oracle financial management software
- Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software
- Knowledge of SAP financial software systems
