About the position

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the IT Software industry, based in Denver, Colorado. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with supporting our financial operations, which include account reconciliation, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and maintain financial records such as general ledger, payroll, budget, and expense
  • Contribute to the creation of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash-flow statements
  • Ensure account balances are accurate through regular reconciliation
  • Prepare and submit reports on forecasting and budgeting
  • Analyze financial data and compile reports to aid in management decision making
  • Collaborate with the auditing team for the preparation of annual audits
  • Adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements and uphold detail-oriented standards
  • Assist in the execution and planning of accounting strategies
  • Use accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform tasks
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, including bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and month-end close procedures.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices
  • Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger management
  • Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries
  • Experience in Month End Close processes
  • Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
  • Experience with Oracle financial management software
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Knowledge of SAP financial software systems
