Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure all reports comply with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during reporting cycles.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., tax, treasury, and operations) to gather relevant financial information for reporting.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to support audit requests and internal reviews.
- Participate in enhancing financial reporting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support special projects, including research on new accounting standards or regulatory updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Internship or 1+ year of experience in financial reporting or public accounting; familiarity with 10-K and 10-Q preparation is required.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial reporting software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
