About the position

The Staff Accountant position at Robert Half involves a variety of accounting functions, including managing and reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing financial data, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role is a long-term contract opportunity that requires proficiency in various accounting software and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and reconciling bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.
  • Preparation and adjustment of journal entries as necessary.
  • Reviewing and maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Assisting with evaluations of initial internal controls.
  • Processing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
  • Utilizing software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks.
  • Management of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Conducting month-end close procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks and projects.
  • Ensuring strong time management and interpersonal communication within the team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including processing invoices and managing vendor payments.
  • Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger management, including maintaining chart of accounts and posting of journal entries.
  • Experience with Journal Entries, including preparing and posting entries to ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Proficiency in Month End Close processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Experience with NetSuite for financial management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Oracle for database management and financial data processing.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks for accounting tasks and financial management.
  • Experience with SAP for enterprise resource planning and financial data management.
