About the position

The Staff Accountant position at Emarsys involves managing various accounting functions, including accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, and tax returns. The role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's financial operations in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain company documentation of processes and procedures
• Prepare monthly reconciliations including bank, accounts payable, fixed assets, and others
• Maintain historical records by filing documents
• Lead full cycle account receivable responsibilities including customer set up, invoice preparation, invoice settlement, payment collections, and contract management
• Lead full cycle accounts payable process including vendor set up, invoice processing, payment settlements, and procurement
• Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly and monthly sales & use tax returns, payments, and reconciliation
• Manage credit card activities including expense classification, safeguarding, reconciliation, and reporting
• Assist team with other project or process improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties, assignments, or projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of public accounting/corporate experience and/or 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite Products
• Self-starter, willing to grow and learn within the Company
