About the position

The position involves performing a variety of professional-level accounting duties, including preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions and reports. The role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and assisting in budget preparation, audits, and year-end closing activities. This is a remote position that requires collaboration with clients and internal teams to support financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including balance sheet and cash account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial packages for review and approval by the Finance & Accounting Manager.
  • Submit financial statements and work papers in a reviewable form within the proper time frame.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all bank statements and follow up on outstanding checks and reconciling items.
  • Perform reconciliation and true-up of funding versus actual expenditures.
  • Prepare and document journal entries accurately.
  • Track and manage accruals and accrual entries.
  • Handle monthly client invoicing and vendor payments for assigned facilities.
  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasts as needed.
  • Calculate management and incentive fees as required.
  • Manage cash for assigned properties and ensure compliance with internal audit standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
