About the position

The Staff Accountant position at BrightSpring Health Services involves assisting the Senior Accountant and Manager in delivering accurate and timely financial information in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The role focuses on financial reviews related to long-term care pharmacy acquisitions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and supporting various accounting activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing monthly, detailed financial reviews as it relates to LTC pharmacy acquisitions
• Coordinate balance sheet, bank reconciliations, and trend analysis for all assigned accounts and journal entries
• Responsible for filing, recording, and reconciling quarterly inventory counts for LTC pharmacy acquisitions
• Generate necessary reports and participate in related monthly accounting activities to ensure timely ledger close
• Research information requests and respond to issues involving specific general ledger accounts
• Monitor compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company procedures
• Acquire appropriate information for vendor set up in Oracle Fusion, as necessary
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least 6-12 months working in an accounting department/function
• Understanding of GAAP and General Accounting
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, and related accounting software
• Financial reporting knowledge
• Internal and external audit requirements knowledge

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in Accounting
• 1-2 years accounting experience
