Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be tasked with general ledger accounting duties and aiding in bank reconciliation projects. The Staff Accountant will be expected to handle tasks related to both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), and will be involved in various aspects of financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate
• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis
• Prepare and post journal entries to keep financial records up-to-date
• Participate in the month-end close process to finalize financial statements
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks
• Collaborate with other team members to complete financial projects and tasks
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
• Provide assistance with other accounting tasks as needed Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger operations
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
