About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on performing advanced accounting tasks that support the financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization. Key responsibilities include general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and budget analysis tailored to the organization's needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insight for decision-making processes.
• Manage general ledger accounts including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data through regular audits and reviews.
• Implement and maintain effective cash flow management practices.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using NetSuite is mandatory.
• Must have skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is expected.
• Experience in handling General Ledger is key for this role.
• Knowledge in processing Journal Entries is required.
• Expertise in Month End Close procedures is crucial.
• Must be capable of managing Intercompany Accounting tasks.
