About the position
The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train at Lockheed Martin is seeking a software engineer to develop and integrate new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. This role involves converting complex algorithms into operational software within a fast-paced team environment, focusing on the design, development, and testing of C2BMC applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new Java applications
- Maintain existing Java applications
- Assist with the design of new and modified complex mathematical algorithms
- Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
- Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
Requirements
- Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance
- Experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment
- Experience implementing complex mathematical algorithms into operational software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment
- Experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.)
- Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams
- Strong Cyber background, for example: resolving and/or mitigating Cyber-Security findings from Fortify/SonarQube/etc.
- Security+ or equivalent certification within 60 days of starting

- Experience using Eclipse to develop software applications
- Experience in the implementation of MATLAB based algorithms prior to their adoption into tactical Java-based software
- Experience using automated unit testing frameworks
- Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams
