About the position

The Staff Application Engineer role at a leading semiconductor company focuses on providing technical support and solutions to customers in the Server and Hyperscale Computing markets. This position combines technical expertise with interpersonal skills to address and resolve customer challenges, particularly in relation to IP and Subsystem products. Responsibilities

• Support customers in overcoming technical challenges related to Server platform and Semiconductor products.
• Utilize technical expertise in chipset, interconnectors, pre-silicon verification, and CPU architecture to assist clients.
• Engage with customers directly to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Debug RTL issues and recreate scenarios to identify problems in designs.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Server platform and/or Semiconductor domain.
• Strong technical aptitude with chipset, interconnectors, pre-silicon verification, and CPU architecture.
• Proficiency in HDLs such as Verilog, System-Verilog, or VHDL.
• Experience working directly with customers to resolve technical challenges.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the ASIC industry.
• Familiarity with one or more AMBA bus protocols.
• Knowledge of ARM architecture.
• Experience with PCIe, CXL, CCIX protocols.
• Scripting experience in Python or Perl.
