About the position

The Project Architect will lead the architectural discipline for Form Energy's first-in-kind battery factory, focusing on creating an inspiring industrial architecture that supports high-volume battery manufacturing. This role involves overseeing the architectural master plan, managing consultants, and ensuring quality and compliance throughout the design and construction phases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural discipline, vision, planning, and execution for battery factories.
  • Own and execute the architectural master plan of the factory, including its look, feel, and people experience.
  • Act as the architect of record for licensed candidates on certain projects.
  • Manage internal and external architectural and engineering consultants, driving their scoping, design reviews, deliverables, and integration with other engineering disciplines.
  • Develop architectural design packages for permitting and construction.
  • Ensure project quality, standards, specifications, drawing deliverables, code planning, and life safety designs.
  • Drive coordination among engineering disciplines.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, construction, and facilities stakeholders to understand end user needs and deliver results that meet collective needs.
  • Assist with the development of Scope of Work, Basis of Design, Scheduling, and Estimating documents.
  • Participate in field construction support and quality control activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of architectural experience in large commercial and industrial projects (e.g., manufacturing, data centers, hospitals, etc.).
  • Licensed architect, or ability to receive it.
  • Experience in all phases: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
  • Experience in life safety code and plans in industrial applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit.
  • Exceptional drive, sense of ownership, and resourcefulness.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.
