About the position

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Risk Manager Assistant to provide administrative support to Nurse Managers in the High Risk Cardiac unit. This role involves coordinating patient care, managing performance, and ensuring operational goals are met. The position requires working two 12-hour shifts per week as Charge and includes responsibilities such as staffing, payroll management, and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual staff members including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care and ensure adherence to operational goals.
• Participate in departmental budget development and management.
• Oversee patient care according to planned interventions and document accordingly.
• Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and diagnoses.
• Support review of staff hours and manage payroll updates.
• Prepare and execute staff communications and lead meetings.
• Determine staffing needs and make nursing assignments.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
• 2-5 years of nursing experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) license

Nice-to-haves
