About the position

The Staff Attorney position involves working in teams on document review and production projects related to large, complex litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters. Staff Attorneys will be engaged for specific matters or significant projects and will be released from the firm when the work on the project concludes.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, categorize, and annotate or redact documents in document review database systems and hard-copy collections.
• Assist in the preparation of privilege and redaction logs and similar tasks related to document review and production projects.
• Assist with review quality control and metrics reporting processes as needed.
• Collaborate with litigation support staff and e-discovery vendors to resolve operational issues with document collections and review systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Firm management.
• Uphold high standards of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity regarding sensitive firm and client information.

Requirements

• At least one year of document review experience within or for an AMLAW 100 or 200 firm on large litigation, investigation, or arbitration matters.
• Current good standing in the DC Bar.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong service orientation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of discovery document review projects' purpose and workflows, and understanding of attorney-client and work product privilege rules.
• Significant experience with online document review systems such as Relativity, Documatrix, or FTI's Ringtail.

Nice-to-haves

• Native-level fluency in French, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Arabic.
