About the position

The Staff Auditor I role at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust offers a unique opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the bank's business operations. As part of the Audit Team, the Staff Auditor I will conduct audits across various areas of the bank to ensure that operations are free from unusual activities that increase risk. Responsibilities

• Conduct audits across various areas of the bank to ensure compliance and internal controls.
• Perform audit work as assigned and report pertinent information to the assigned supervisor.
• Respond to inquiries or requests for information from customers and bank personnel.
• Examine functions and review procedures/processes for internal controls and compliance with regulations.
• Perform audit planning and fieldwork, including annual controls testing (FDICIA).
• Compile information and provide data to appropriate personnel as necessary.

Requirements

• A B.S. or B.A. degree in a field related to accounting or finance or equivalent auditing/accounting experience.
• A minimum of one (1) year audit or related banking/financial services experience.
