About the position

Procore is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Business Systems Analyst to join our team. This role will focus on analyzing, designing, and optimizing the financial and procurement systems to enhance our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial systems, accounting and procurement processes, and business analysis, with a proven track record of implementing effective solutions that drive efficiency and support strategic goals. As a Staff Business Systems Analyst you'll spearhead the design and implementation of cutting-edge financial systems, collaborating closely with stakeholders to align technology with corporate objectives. This role offers the chance to drive impactful process improvements, manage dynamic system projects using agile methodologies, and ensure seamless integration across platforms, all while providing vital user training and support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of financial and procurement systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create detailed functional specifications.
  • Serve as a technical advisor for Financial Systems, leading recommendations for new systems and updates to platform architecture.
  • Evaluate existing financial and procurement processes to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Drive system implementation projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Design and implement reporting solutions to provide actionable insights into financial and procurement operations.
  • Oversee the integration of financial and procurement systems with other enterprise systems.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, developing user manuals and documentation.
  • Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with SaaS vendors and service providers to manage system upgrades and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, focusing on financial and procurement systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management processes and related technologies (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Netsuite).
  • Proven experience in product management, managing complex system implementations and upgrades through Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and delivering user training and support.
  • Ability to visualize, analyze, communicate, and solve complex problems and make well-adapted decisions based on available information.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices related to financial and procurement systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct experience with Netsuite, Coupa, Concur, Zip, and Xactly.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Atlassian tooling (e.g., Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in financial and procurement systems.
  • Experience in change management and process re-engineering.
