About the position

The CDL B Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) position at Clean Harbors involves handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste in compliance with various regulations. This role is not laboratory-based and requires working both indoors and outdoors at various sites, including plants and customer locations. Responsibilities

• Handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste according to regulations and company policies.
• Assist with lab packs within customer facilities and household hazardous waste collections.
• Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restriction notifications.
• Perform inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure compliance and proper housekeeping procedures.
• Collect, segregate, and package waste chemicals for disposal efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
• Execute jobs at customer locations, including Fortune 500 companies, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Conduct projects according to site-specific federal, state, and local regulations and health and safety plans.
• Sample and profile new waste streams or waste needing analytical testing.
• Ensure drum count accuracy and that drum conditions are compliant for shipping.

Requirements

• Obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment.
• College degree in Chemistry or Natural Science.
