CT Consultants, a Verdantas Company, is seeking a Civil Engineer II to join our innovative and growing team. The Civil Engineer will support various project managers in completing a variety of projects for both public and private clients. This role involves the complete civil design for municipal and land development projects, which includes roadways, sewers, water mains, storm water management systems, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, grading, cost estimating, and permitting. In this position, you will be responsible for keeping current tasks within schedule and budget to meet project needs. You will coordinate the work of drafting personnel, technicians, or other engineers on technical matters pertinent to project assignments. Additionally, you will provide technical input and collaborate with other departments to ensure project success. Your responsibilities will also include preparing design calculations, design drawings, and specifications necessary for the most economical method of construction, as well as preparing feasibility studies. You will be responsible for coordinating technical and administrative activities within various departments of the firm and those of outside consultants. Responsibilities

  • Keeping current tasks within schedule and budget to fit the needs of the project
  • Coordinating the work of drafting personnel, technicians or other engineers on technical matters pertinent to project assignments
  • Providing technical input and collaborating with other departments
  • Preparing design calculations, design drawings and specifications necessary for the most economical method of construction
  • Preparing feasibility studies
  • Coordinating technical and administrative activities within the various departments of the firm and those of outside consultants

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of civil design software
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Registered Professional Engineer is a plus
