In this role, you will ensure the completeness and accuracy of design efforts while providing direction to assigned project staff, which may include other engineers, drafters, designers, field staff, and administrative support staff. You will assist with the establishment and attainment of project goals, providing accomplished technical capability to projects in determining design, establishing a course of action, and reviewing results for accuracy and thoroughness in meeting client needs. Compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements is essential, and you will prepare various types of documents, including project reports, proposals, estimates, bid documents, and permit applications. You will be responsible for keeping projects on schedule and within budget, communicating potential budget, scope, or schedule demands to the Project Manager. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategies to identify and obtain repeat work from core, developing, and private clients while enhancing your business development and selling skills. In some cases, you may serve as a client relationship manager for a limited number of clients and may be designated as an Assistant Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort.
  • Provide direction to assigned project staff including engineers, drafters, designers, field staff, and administrative support staff.

Requirements

  • A BS in Civil Engineering is required.
  • 5-7 years of civil engineering experience.
  • PE License required.
  • Proficiency with computer-based design tools (AutoCAD, GIS, REVIT).
  • Full understanding of permitting and funding agency requirements.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Sound time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to advance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and registered insured vehicle.
