About the position

The selected candidate would serve as a Staff Engineer on a variety of planning, design, and permitting projects involving industrial, institutional, commercial, multifamily residential, and athletic and recreation facilities development for both public and private clients. This position includes both field and in-office assignments, providing a dynamic work environment that allows for hands-on experience in various aspects of civil engineering. Duties include technical supervision of CAD technician(s), preparation of construction drawings and specifications, cost estimating, preparation of technical reports, and analysis and design of water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection, pump stations, sewage transmission, as well as paving, grading, and drainage systems using applicable design software programs. The role also encompasses the permitting and construction phases of all projects assigned, ensuring that all engineering practices meet regulatory standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and a passion for contributing to diverse projects that enhance community infrastructure. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience related to land use and development
  • Experience with hydrology, grading, and utilities
  • Completion of ABET accredited BSCE
  • Scheduled and/or passed the FE exam
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with athletic/recreation facilities design and construction
  • Experience with state and local permitting practices
  • Familiarity with sustainable design applications for site development/construction
