About the position

The Staff Classified Cybersecurity Analyst at Northrop Grumman is responsible for leading and training a team of Information Systems Security Managers (ISSMs) and Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) while ensuring the security of classified systems. This role involves interfacing with internal and external customers, performing assessments of systems and networks, and implementing government RMF policies. The position requires a strong background in information systems security, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community environments, and is focused on maintaining the integrity and security of cyber assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train a team of Information Systems Security Managers (ISSMs) and Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs).
  • Interface with internal and external customers at all levels, providing guidance on cybersecurity governance documents.
  • Perform assessments of systems and networks to identify deviations from acceptable configurations and policies.
  • Establish strict program control processes to mitigate risks and support certification and accreditation of systems.
  • Implement government RMF policy and make recommendations on process tailoring.
  • Perform analyses to validate established security controls and recommend additional security requirements.
  • Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authorities.
  • Coordinate all Assessment and Authorization activities, including RMF Body Of Evidence documentation.
  • Ensure recurring cybersecurity tasks are completed, including auditing and configuration management.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and 10 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience performing information systems security duties.
  • Must have a DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification (e.g., CCISO, CISSP, CISM, or GSLC).
  • Current DOD Top Secret level security clearance, including SCI access and a recent Polygraph adjudicated within the last 2 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity and a CISSP certification.
  • 13 years of information systems security experience in a classified environment.
  • Experience with getting Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) authorized for DoD programs.
  • Extensive experience with JSIG and DCID 503.
  • Prior experience leading a team of ISSOs/ISSMs.
