As a Staff Compliance Test Automation Engineer at Enphase Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the products developed or managed by the company meet the agreed test plans and comply with relevant national and international standards. This position is integral to supporting Grid inter-connection testing (IEEE 1547) and Hardware Design Verification, contributing to the company's commitment to regulatory compliance testing and certification. You will work closely with Compliance Engineers to facilitate testing and certification efforts, ensuring that Enphase's innovative energy solutions are safe, reliable, and efficient. In this role, you will be responsible for defining requirements in the Engineering Requirements Document (ERD), Market Requirements Document (MRD), and Software Requirements Document (SRD) to ensure that products are designed to meet the target market grid requirements. You will interpret grid compliance requirements and communicate these to design and firmware teams throughout the product development stages. As a product compliance expert, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop grid compliance requirements and oversee product verification tests (DVT) and compliance testing to ensure full compliance with target markets. You will manage relationships with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) to produce grid performance test plans, test reports, and certifications. As a cross-functional team leader, you will drive compliance timelines and certification deliverables. Proficiency in developing automation test scripts using Python to control test instruments such as Grid simulators, Power Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Programmable loads will be essential. You will also troubleshoot, analyze, document, and present issues to leadership using JIRA, while working with cross-functional engineering teams to identify gaps in product design to meet global market requirements. Additionally, you will champion a strong understanding of test standards including UL1741, UL1998, IEEE 1547, AS/NZS 4777.2, and EN 50549.
